Chattahoochee Bend State Park

In December 2008 the establishment of the new Friends of Chattahoochee Bend State Park was announced. The Chattahoochee Bend State Park is a future state park located in Coweta County along the Chattahoochee River and slated to open as early as summer 2010. The nearly 3,000 acre property includes approximately seven miles of river frontage, as well as the vast expanses of exposed granite known locally as Flat Rock. In between are hundreds of acres of forest punctuated with streams, rocky outcrops and granite boulders. Check back often to keep updated on the park’s progress!
