Amanda America Dickson House
This house on Augusta’s Telfair Street is the former home of the wealthiest African-American woman of the late 19th century. In 1886 Ms. Dickson, the daughter of a white planter and his slave, fought all the way through the Georgia Supreme Court for her inheritance and won.
