Description:
Cascading waterfalls, gigantic boulders, and lush rhododendron—pristine wilderness surrounds the Chattooga. This incredible river offers unique adventures on two sections. Both feature spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife on a full-day trip. NOC is the only outfitter offering self-bailing rafts on Section IV.
With over three decades of experience leading our guests down the river and the best equipment in the industry, your only concern should be which section of the Chattooga you want to experience first. Two very different sections of the Chattooga allow us to offer trips for everyone from experienced rafters seeking their latest adrenaline rush to first-timers including children as young as 7. Our fleet of self-bailing rafts allows us to customize each trip to the fluctuating water levels of this free-flowing river. Groups of 10-24 can combine both sections of the river in an overnight trip that features catered cookouts and riverside camping.
All Chattooga trips depart from our Chattooga Outpost, which is 13 Miles east of Clayton, GA, or about 108 miles northeast of Atlanta, and 50 miles west of Greenville, South Carolina. See driving Directions to the Chattooga on the NOC website.
